I met Sławek in 2001 when I started my studies at the Faculty of Navigation and Ship Armament at the Naval Academy. He was the one who infected me with a passion for sailing, and it was with him that I gained my first sailing experiences. Since then, I have sailed in various waters. I have been sharing my passion with Sławek for over 20 years.
At SailCraft, I sailed across the Atlantic, and I have crossed the Baltic Sea several times. For me, a sailing school is not just another challenge and experience, but above all, a mission to train the new generations of sailors as best as possible.

I have been interested in water sports and tourism since childhood. A particular passion for mechanical solutions used in yacht engines and shipbuilding has significantly contributed to my educational path.
After gaining maritime experience as a young motorboat operator, I decided
to pursue a professional career at sea by enrolling in the Naval Academy. I have an education in the operation of shipboard equipment. I worked for many years servicing mechanical devices, including ship power plants, serving on ships of the Navy.
I gained experience during voyages from the Mediterranean Sea to the Norwegian Sea, also training students on the training ship of the Polish Navy.
Currently, after completing my active service, I conduct classes in the Department of Ship Electrical Engineering at the Naval Academy and motorboat courses at SailCraft. I regularly participate in sailing and motorboat trips, further developing my passion for water sports.

I took my first steps on board a yacht at the age of 14. I learned sailing on Lake Kałębie and in Puck and Gdańsk Bays. I am a professional officer and academic teacher, associated with the Naval Academy since 1990, where I am responsible for training students in sailing and motor boating. As an instructor of the integrated STCW safety course, I conduct classes in maritime rescue.
I have participated several times in civil and military championships in Europe, where I won the title of champion and vice-champion of Europe. I participated twice in the Military World Games, winning a bronze medal in 2011 in Rio de Janeiro.
During The Tall Ships Races 2013, as captain with a crew of students from the Naval Academy, I won the regatta on the route from Riga to Świnoujście.
At the turn of 2017/2018, I was a member ofthe crew of Katharsis II, which was the first in the world to circumnavigate Antarctica non-stop along and south of the 60° south latitude.

For over 20 years, I have been professionally and recreationally connected to the sea. I am a trained maritime navigator and hydrographer. I hold a yacht and motorboat captain's license. I have participated in and led voyages on yachts ranging from a few to several dozen meters in length. The Baltic Sea, the North Sea, the Mediterranean... Antarctica - wherever the wind takes me.
Watch officer on ships and vessels, commander of a ship, practitioner and sailing enthusiast. From 2014 to 2016, I served as a juror for the Maritime Chamber in Gdynia. Full STCW.
I enjoy sharing my experiences and practices. A few years ago, as part of promoting sailing, I wrote several articles in the "Polish Ports" series for the "Skippers' Tavern."
I gladly visit new places and lesser-known ports.
See you at sea.

Sławomir Gronowski - owner, instructor
The SailCraft sailing and motorboating school was born out of a passion for the sea, countless hours of watch, experience in training crews, and examining sailors and motorboaters. In competitive sailing, I participated for many years in the 730 class and Skippi 650, often taking top places in the Polish Cup.
I am an instructor, yacht captain, and motorboat captain. Professionally, I am also connected to the sea, among other things I held the position ofcommanderof a shipin the Navy. I have specialized education in navigation and hydrography. The experience I gained during professional and sailing trips, from the Black Sea to Iceland, and during crew training defines the direction I intend to take in the conducted classes. The knowledge and experience I possess allowed me to serve as a juror in the Maritime Appeals Chamber from 2020 to 2022.
In my school, the most important aspect is the practical approach to the theoretical knowledge being conveyed, as well as the classes held on the water.
